Duval Sports Girls Basketball Power & Playoff Rankings Jan 27th

We’re wrapping up the regular season for the girls high school basketball season and the best teams in the area have solidified themselves as the best. Bartram Trail gained a big win to Heading into February, the top teams at the end of the season this year look a lot different from the top teams a year ago. Yet what looks the same is a good chance for Jacksonville to have several teams represent in Lakeland.

  1. Raines- The Lady Vikings have swept through Northeast Florida this season. Coach Julius Paden and his leaders Nyla Allen and Selah Reddick won the Gateway Conference Championship, and look to add a state championship to it.
  2. Ribault- Coach Dorian Stevens has done an incredible job with this team, returning the Lady Trojans to the top. Wins over Bishop Kenny, Sandalwood, and Middleburg cement them as the unequivocal #2 team in Northeast Florida. Their rival Raines will be in their sights.
  3. Bishop Kenny- Kenny has battled all year with one of the toughest schedules in the area. Playmaker Jasmine Roberts will lead the Lady Crusaders into the playoffs, as Coach Charlsea Clark has them playing tough in the tough Class 4A.
  4. Middleburg- After 6 wins in a row they fell to Bartram last week. Once again they’e been one of the best teams in the area led by McDonalds All American nominee Britany Range.
  5. Flagler Palm Coast– The Lady Bulldogs have nice wins over Sandalwood and Nease, but losses to Ribault and Kenny keeps them in the middle of the pack. McDonalds All American nominee Briana Ellis will look to lift her team late in the season.
  6. University Christian- A great record has the Christians looking good in class 2A sitting at #3. Rhiana Youmans averages 16 points per game as she and her teammates have proven they can score points and hang tough.
  7. Bolles- The Lady Bulldogs have had an up and down season but still sits pretty got the post season. Coach Kelly Stevenson will have her team ready to rock
  8. Orange Park- The Lady Raiders currently sit 10th in Class 5A and have a great shot of moving up.
  9. Sandalwood- Mc Donalds All American nominee Amaru Wright has had to shoulder the load but the Saints are still a dangerous team. Injuries has had Mc Donalds All American nominee Caitlin McGhee and the Saints stifled from moving up.
  10. Bartram Trail- The Lady Bears got a big win over Middleburg last week as the talented Class 7A squad rounds out our rankings and currently sits 17th in their class.
