We continue to highlight the 2020 season champs in Northeast Florida, and next up are the lovely ladies of Landrum middle school! Landrum defeated Murray 40-34 to cap an undefeated season.
Taylor Perce led the team with 13 points while Regan Chappell scored 10 points to lead Landrum over Murray. Also scoring for the team was Maya Richards, Kennedy Rosendahl, Ella Harrison, Morgan Gavazzi, and Ava Schulz. Landrum was an incredibly close squad of play-makers who showed heart and togetherness. Players like Kendyll Shorstein, Charlotte Peverley, Breah Usry, Riley Curry, and Hailey Lytle made key contributions during the season.
The team defeated Liberty Pines 41 to 34 in the playoffs to advance to the championship. In that game, a fourth quarter rally pulled out the win for the team! Kennnedy Rosendahl led all scorers with 11 points. Taylor Perce chipped in with 9 points Ella Harrison and Kendyll Shorstein scored 8 points, while Regan Chappell scored 7 points.
It was a season where everyone contributed, and that’s why everyone can celebrate in their incredible season.
