Without Spring Football, several High School Football athletes around Northeast Florida were unable to showcase their talents and abilities on the field for their teams. With the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the travel for college recruiters, and team’s ability to assemble, some of the top players in Northeast Florida have been unable to be seen. So for the next couple of weeks, Duval Sports will list the Top Players on each team in Northeast Florida.
Christ’s Church- Coach Jim Stomps was hired as the head football coach of the CCA Eagles in 2015. Each year he has successfully led the team to increasingly better records and playoff births. Along with team accomplishments, his players have achieved personal accomplishments as well. Last year Christ Church had the most college football signers in school history. Here are some of their top prospects looking to make an impact this year.
Zac OConnor– MLB 5’9, 180 2021
O’Conner is a feisty middle backer who navigates well around blockers and finds the ball carrier. Don’t discriminate due to his size, look at his tape.
Lee Setzer– OLB 6’2, 195lbs 2021
I like the size of Setzer, he has the ability to turn simple stop into a game changing with his athletic ability.
Andrew Partyka– OLB/RB, 6’1, 185lbs 2021
Partyka is another duel threat athlete who is athletic and disciplined. Sure tackler as he was 7th in the city in tackles last year
Dawson Schnepel– , RB , 5’10, 175lbs, 2021
Schnepel can be a nice complimentary back, very versatile out of the backfield and can make plays in the return game.
Jacob Dennie -QB, 6’0, 165lbs 2022
Dennie is an active play maker in the passing game and is used in the back field sometimes. Finds himself wide open sometimes with good route running.
Trey Rose– Ath , 6’2, 180lbs , 2022
This guy is super athletic and extremely versatile. Considering his size, he has the potential to be the best college football prospect to come out of Christs Church if he continues to work hard.
Hayden Brown– C/DT , 6’1, 235lbs, 2022
Brown is a very smart player, able to play multiple positions on the offensive line. He’s also got a mean streak which is a must on the line. Watched him since middle school, he’s a versatile football player.
