The tail of the tape is how we’ll do every Tuesday here on Duval Sports. We’ll recap several games highlighting teams and looking at some individual performers that went “Hollywood”, while previewing team’s next opponents.
UNIVERSITY CHRISTIAN 33 BRADFORD 22

UC at Oakleaf 9/25
It’s going to be a tough game for UC heading out to Oakleaf after the Knights were overwhelmed by Lowndes last week 37-17. Desirrio Riles, and Orel Gray, face Walter Simmons III and Larry Smith. A passing of the baton from the present to the future. Ja’won Grey faces brother Adrian Grey. It’ll be fun but Oakleaf is just too much.
Bradford at Suwannee 9/25
Suwannee has played good ball look for them to get a big win over Bradford. Bradford must figure out a way to stop the pass if they look to have a chance in this one.
BAKER COUNTY 47 ED WHITE 0
Baker County(3-0) continues to put up points, this week thanks to play maker Carson Crawford. Crawford rushed for three touchdowns as the Wildcats shutout the Commanders. Ed White at Westside 9/25
Westside comes off a win against Jackson and looks to renew their westside rivalry with Ed White. Can the Commanders stop DJ Otis and his duel threat capability. Westside must stop the run, but that wont be easy as White’s Davaughn Patterson looks to reestablish himself on the ground.
JACKSON 20 WESTSIDE 34
Quarterback Ditannon Oits passed for 3 touchdowns and ran for another one as Westside got their first win of the season. Kaloun Walker (former Duval Sports Top 50) scored a rushing touchdown for the Wolverines as well. Jackson’s Jalen Sonnier tossed a touchdown to make that two consecutive games with a touchdown pass for the Tigers (1-1).
Westside hosts Ed White 9/25
Jackson at Wolfson 9/25
This will be a fun one to watch. Wolfson (0-2) has had two tough matchups against Fernandina and Ridgeview. Coach Dennis Bettinger will look to get his team’s first win against Jackson. Yet the Tiger’s loss this week won’t taste good to them. Coach Chris Foye and company will be hungry to get another W after tasting victory in week 1.
MADISON COUNTY 32 SUWANNEE 14
Jaquez Moore connected with Brian Fuery twice for Suwannee, yet Madison County pulled away thanks to multiple touchdown passes from Mitch Rutherford as the Cowboys prevailed.
Suwannee hosts Bradford 9/25
BALDWIN 36 WEST NASSAU 31
It was a back and forth game against these two prideful teams. West Nassau’s Devin Law threw two touchdown passes. Wide Receiver Chaz Davis caught two touchdown passes for the Warriors (2-1). However it wasn’t enough as Quarterback Bryce Tompkins passed for 244 yards and three touchdowns Kevin Davis also scored twice as Baldwin(2-0) kept the winning going against West Nassau. The game came down to a defensive stand as Baldwin stopped West Nassau on their final drive.
Baldwin home versus Episcopal 9/25
This matchup features Defense versus offense as the Indians defense will try to stop quarterback Tucker Tomberlin and Tight End Nick Elksnis. Tompkins will look to out duel Tomberlin in a nice quarterback matchup.
EPISCOPAL 27 ENGLEWOOD 22
Tucker Tomberlin and Nick Elksnis hooked up for a touchdown pitch and catch. However it was a Kirk Reed touchdown in the fourth quarter that lifted Episcopal over Englewood. Ershod Jasey scored two touchdowns on the ground for Episcopal (2-0). Englewood (0-2) looks to get in the W column. Possibly next week against an 0-2 Middleburg team.
ZAREPHATH ACADEMY 34 JOSHUA CHRISTIAN 0
Tyrone Blount, Zion Mitchell and Javon Hodges were instrumental in the Eagles (1-2) getting their first victory of the season and in the history of the program. New comer running-back Jabari Williams (former Duval Sports Top 50) adds power to their back field and scored for Zarephath.

Quarterback Chris Calhoun tossed a touchdown pass and Quarterback Ty McNeal tossed two touchdowns and ran for one as Sandalwood blanked Nease. Jadon Canady secured an interception and caught a touchdown in the game.
Sandalwood at Ribault 9/25
The Saints look to avenge a loss to Ribault last year but must travel to Winton Drive this time to do so. Ribault Wide Receiver Freddie Manning versus Sandalwood DB Jadon Canady will be a run matchup. Ribault Running back Martranius Mack versus Sandalwood Linebacker Branden Jennings is the one everyone will be eyeing.
Nease hosts Yulee 9/25
Nease will need to find some offense if they hope to have a chance to win games. 7 points in two games wont cut it. Will Carn must put the team on his back and make plays himself. Yulee (2-1) will rely on Tajon Thomas and Donovan Henry on defense. Henery is the little brother of current Tennessee Titan Derrick Henry. Devonn Littlejohn makes big plays in the passing game for Yulee. They’ll try to get up quick.
