Two newcomers to the power rankings as teams make statements with wins and losses. There are some really good teams that are next on deck ready to jump in a top spot. However there’s only 10! So let’s see who made this week’s top 10!

1 Bolles (2-0)- A comeback against St. Augustine last week has this team supremely confident. That’s how championship teams respond, getting past the trap game. Creekside will pose a formidable test with their offense. Look out for a high scoring game.

2 Bartram (2-0)- All Bartram does is win. Every phase of the game is on display for them. They can score quick on offense, decide a game on special teams, and seal a win on defense like last week with a pick 6 to close out Mandarin. They’ll need it all against rival St. Augustine tonight.

Bartram defeated Mandarin 26-13 last week

3 Oakleaf (1-1)- It was a tough go against the #9 team in the country. Lowndes proved to be too much for the Knights, but I believe the loss will help more than it hurts as they got to measure themselves against the best. They’re mad… It’s gonna get ugly against UC tonight.

4 Lee (1-0)- The Generals got off to a great start of the season with a victory over Ribault. Both teams were supremely talented so to get a convincing win was impressive for the new look Generals. They’ll take on Mandarin in hopes of building momentum.

Lee Defeated Ribault 26-18 last week

5 Fleming Island (2-0)- An impressive win against Fletcher on the road has the Golden Eagles moving up a spot. It was a game that saw their defense step up and make big plays in addition to their rushing attack. Look out for this talented team.

6 Baker County (3-0)- Moving up three spots is the Wildcats of Baker County. Baker County has outscored its opponents 129-6 heading into a bye week.

7 Trinity (0-1)- Trinity falls through no fault of their own. After an early bye the Conquerors look to rebound from their week 1 loss to Bolles. Standing in their way is Columbia, always a tough test. Perhaps a bigger test is finding replacements for their injured starters. To remain in the top 10 someone will have to step up tonight.

8- Columbia (0-0)– They return to the top 10 after a week 2 hiatus. The Tigers are looking to get off to a good start but have a tough test for their first game. Their still searching for a quarterback so it’s interesting to see if they’ll find him in this game.

9- St. Augustine (1-1) – We welcome the Jackets after they looked good for three and a half quarters versus Bolles last week. They needed four quarters to pull off the upset. They have a chance to pull another upset tonight versus rival Bartram. Hopefully they didn’t spend all their emotion last week. Their players and great coaching make them a tough opponent for anyone.

10- Creekside (1-1)– Cracking our top 10 for the first time is Creekside. What a hard nosed running, big play on offensive team. They showed last week that they can play defense as well shutting out First Coast. They can shock the state tonight if they can upset Bolles.

Next on Deck: Baldwin (2-0), Mandarin (1-1), Sandalwood (1-0), Raines (0-2)
