A shocking upset on the gridiron last week, upset our power rankings this week. Creekside jumps, a new number one, and a battle between Clay and Baldwin for a spot that we wish we could see on the field. Nevertheless, heres this week’s Top 10 best teams in Northeast Florida.

Bartram (3-0)- A convincing win over rival St Augustine last week, and a Bolles loss has the Bears sitting atop our power rankings this week. Bartram welcomes American Heritage to town this week the #9 team in the #9 team in the state. Bartram moves from #2 to #1.

Oakleaf (2-1)- A close game at first turned into a 17 point win over University Christian last week. The Knights will host Camden County Friday night, hoping to get a win over a different south Georgia team, after losing to Lowndes County in week 2. Oakleaf moves from #3 to #2 this week.

Lee (2-0)- The Generals are making a case to be early season Duval County champs. Their Gateway conference wins over Ribault and Mandarin 25-20 last week have them marching into a bye week undefeated. Lee moves from #4 to #3 this week.

Creekside (2-1)- Before last week, the Knights were the Rodney Dangerfield of high school football in the area.. They got “No Respect” from any Top 10 rankings in the area. Well.. none except the Duval Sports Power Rankings. Their win over Bolles catapults them from #10 to #4 this week. Can they do it again against another undefeated Fleming Island team?

Fleming Island (3-0)- The Golden Eagles made short work of Ridgeview 33-10. Now they have a showdown with Creekside, the hottest team in the area after their win over Bolles, but a team they defeated last year 37-21. Should be a great one. Fleming remains #5 from last week.

Baker County (2-0) – The Wildcats come off the bye with a big test against Westside. If they do to the Wolverines what they’ve done to teams in previous weeks, the Wildcats will deservingly move up. Baker County remains #6 from last week.

Bolles (2-1)- It’s been a long week hearing about their loss to Creekside. So Palatka draws the short end of the stick this week against a mad Bolles team. Bolles falls from to #7 from #1 last week.

Trinity (1-1)- Trinity needed the win over Columbia to prove to themselves who they could be against good teams this year. They got the confidence boosting win and now they get a confidence boosting game against NFEI this week. Trinity falls to #8 from #7 last week.

Raines (1-2)- Raines comes back into the Top 10 after a 56-0 shellacking of Orange Park. I think everyone knew, they wouldn’t be gone for long.

Clay (3-0)- Kyle Kennard and company are winning games in impressive fashion. With talented players and a team playing together, it’s time to give Clay the respect that they have earned. Unranked last week, Clay moves into the Top 10 spot.

Outside Looking In: Baldwin (3-0), Sandalwood (2-0), Ponte Vedra (3-0),
