Jacksonville FL- Lee Generals Five Star defensive back Jaheim Singletary chose the Ohio State University on Saturday, January 2nd. Singletary, was named to the Duval Sports Top 50 Middle School Athletes in 2017-2018. Singletary would go on to be ranked as Maxpreps Freshman Football All-Americans in 2018-2019. Singletary was named to the 2020 All-State Maxpreps Football Team in 2020, and is rated a five star prospect by 247 Sports.
Singletary has offers from several D1 schools including Clemson, Florida, Ohio State, and Auburn. He is described by his coach O.J Small at Lee as the ultimate competitor, hard working and loyal. A long, athletic athlete with excellent ball tracking skills, the 6’3, 180lb Singletary recorded 7 interceptions and 6 pass break ups as a freshman.
Singletary led a Lee team to the playoffs all three years as one of the captains of the defense. After his standout freshman season, many opposing quarterbacks stayed away from his side yet he still recorded 3 interceptions in his Junior campaign. He currently is an I see Armor All American and rated as the #5 defensive back in the nation.
