Landon Returns To Title Game, Capturing Baseball Championship Over James Weldon Johnson

In a championship season, the Landon Lions showed true championship metal all year. They battled their way through the toughest division all the way to the championship game. They defeated Twin Lakes to capture the Southern Division title, and would eye a championship against James Weldon Johnson for the title.

In the championship game, Landon would roar their way to victory 10-4, to capture the Duval County Middle School Baseball title. Asher S, David B, Dakota D, and Derek H were big batters all year for the Lions, and they continued that in the championship game.

Levi C was key on the mound for Landon, getting several saves for the team during the year. While Caleb C was instrumental in Landon’s wins, getting key strike outs resulting in victories for the team.

The previous year saw baseball lost for the middle school season, yet Landon would return to the championship game in 2021 after a loss in 2019. They came back to capture the title in 2021, and they did so the Landon way.
