Baldwin- The Kernan Ospreys have flown high all year, going 14- 1 in the season and on Wednesday night they reached the highest height in the sport. Kernan defeated Ocean Way 16-9 to soar to the Duval County Middle School Softball Championship.
Kernan advanced to the championship defeating James Weldon Johnson 11-7 in the semifinals. They won the Eastern division title in 2021, avenging an earlier season loss to rival Fletcher defeating them 17-6. All season, scores like these were routine for this special group of young ladies. They won 19-0 over Ft. Caroline, 15-0 over Mayport, 17-0 over Jeff Davis, and 15-0 over rival Landmark middle. An incredible season of dominance by the Ospreys.
