Pensacola Fl- The Trinity Christian Conquerors (20-9) took their #4 seeding to Pensacola to face top-seeded Pensacola Catholic School (27-1) on Tuesday, November 2nd. It was a hard fought contest, but the Conquerors came up short losing 25-15, 26-24, and 25-14. Pensacola Catholic defeated Episcopal in straight sets 25-9, 14, and 15 last Tuesday to advance to face Trinity. Against Trinity, Amiah Butler led with 18 kills, and Maile Apongan served two aces for Pensacola Catholic. With the win, they will play in the region final on November 6th against Ocala’s Trinity Catholic (#2, 23-4)
For Trinity, it was a memorable year to which they can be very proud of. They were led by Amaria King who amassed 451 kills coming into the regional semifinal. Ally Carter led the team with 46 aces, while Alyssa Crews, Sheridan Beck, and freshman Ariel Ross were key contributors on the court. With talented players returning for Trinity, it will be another playoff run for the Conquerors next year.
