Secondary: Davaughn Patterson -Ed White vs Jaheim Singletary-Riverside
Ed White- Just a junior, Davaughn Patterson is one of the most complete all around football players in the state. He leads Ed White in interceptions (3) and is second on the team in tackles (70). He captains a unit that has generated 24 turnovers on the season. Seniors Sherman McClain (6’1) and Matthew Pierre-val (6’2) provide proto-typical length at defensive back that makes it hard for receivers to catch against. Rounding out the secondary is the 3-Star athlete Christian Ellis who has 3 sacks on the season and is third in tackles (43) at safety.
Riverside- 5-star Jaheim Singletary has captain this unit since his freshman year and is once again locking down receivers. The outstanding athlete leads Riverside with 3 interceptions, even though he’s not challenged much in games. The Generals have 11 total interceptions on the season, thanks in part to defensive backs Tavales Thomas (2) who is a junior, and senior Joseph Morrison (2). They are all ball hawks in blue.
