Northeast FL- After the first week of volleyball action on the First Coast, several great matchups and players have highlights the week. Check out 10 teams that got victories in this first week below.

Mandarin (1-1)

Mandarin fell to Atlantic Coast 1-0 in their season opener but rebounded against Fleming Island 3-2. Alani Salas-Garcia and Paola Aviles Norales lead the team with 21 kills a piece on the season. Mia Watson has 6 aces on the season. Norales leads with 9 blocks and Salas-Garcia leads the team with 31 digs.


Bishop Kenny (1-0)

Bishop Kenny opened the season with a 3-1 victory over Bartram Trail (1-1) last week. It was the 3-headed volleyball monster of sophomore Olivia Ryno who led with 13 kills, junior Claudia Stockard with 11 kills, and Camdyn Labyak with 11 kills. Junior Catheran Haen had 2 aces and junior Skylar Frick with 2 blocks for the win.


Bartram Trail (1-1)

Before their loss to Kenny, Bartram won their first game of the season defeating Yulee (0-2). 6 foot 1 Senior Jenna Otts is leading the team with 14 kills and 5 aces in serving. Senior Emma Henderson has 4 blocks on the season.


Baldwin (2-1)

Baldwin is already on its third game of the season, the fast start to the schedule hasn’t stopped them from a fast start on the court defeating Jackson 3-0, and most recemtly Bradford 3-2. The lost their season opener to Baker County (3-0).


Beachside (2-0)

Beachside Volleyball took home their first wins in school history last week. They defeated Menendez by a score of 3-1 and Orange Park 3-0. Leaders in kills are Laney Lipovetsky (18), junior Lainie Stapleton (9), and freshman Adrianna Jeanpierre (9). Assists Erica Duffy (32) and digs leader isAvery Kliethermes (24). Aces leaders are Lipovetsky (13) Kliethermes (6) so far on the season.


Episcopal (1-1)

Episcopal has started the season with a win and loss on the season Nease 3-1 win and a 3-0 loss to Ridgeview. 6 foot senior Reese Edwards leads the team with 18 kills. Ella Steiger (so) has 5 aces and 30 digs. Kate Adams has been a blockign machine with 10 in two games.


Creekside (2-0)

A 2-0 start to the Lady Knights season has them red hot out the gate. Tocoi Creek and Nease went down to them 3-0 and 3-1 respectively. So fat they are being led by sophomore Killian Burnnett (20 kills), seniors Tyler Patterson 7 aces and 36 digs. Paulina Clark 6 blocks, and Viviana Vaquez with 36 digs.


St. Johns Country Day (2-0)

The Lady Spartans are off to a great start at 2-0 this season after wins over Orange Park 3-1, and St Josephs 3-0. Against neighbor Orange Park the stat leaders were Ashlyn Anderson 15 Kills, Isabella Gomez 28 assists, Katelyn Jacobs 26 digs, Brynn White and Juliet Moody with 3 aces. Anderson has 28 kills and 4 blocks, Moody has 9 aces, and Jacobs has 44 digs and on the season.


Ridgeview (2-1)

After falling to Ponte Vedra in the opener, Ridgeview as reeled off two consecutive wins over Wolfson and Episcopal 3-0. Ridgeview’s top performers have been Haley Robison with 22 kills and 7 blocks. Mariah Bostic-Jones with 6 aces, Kasey Casiple with an incredible 69 digs so far. No shame in their loss to Ponte Vedra, Ridgeview is still one of the best in the atea.


Ponte Vedra (1-0)

The numer one ranked Sharks are luking the waters of Northeast Florida again after a 3-0 win over Ridgeview. Junior Ava-Grace Redick had 10 kills in the contest, while senior Zeta Washington also impressed with 8 kills, 4 blocks and 6 aces. Sophomore Avery Meide had 7 digs and is just a sophomore.
