Jacksonville Fl- Just when you think you have figured them out, Trinity turns it up to another level. In their long Friday night affair with Raines (1-1) that saw over 40 penalties thrown, Trinity led just 7-6 going into half time. Trinity’s touchdown came courtesy of Colin Hurley who tossed a touchdown to London Smith.
However, Raines quarterback Roman Doles responded before halftime, Doles hit Jadarian Rollins for a touchdown as the Vikings cut the lead to just 1-point. Credit to the defenses on making plays for both teams. Trinity’s Kyle Boylston got his second interception in as many weeks. It took the wind right out of the sails of Raines.
Trinity turned it up even more, showcasing their two running backs Treyaun Webb and Darnell Rogers. First Webb scored on a 4-yard touchdown run to make it 14-6. Then Darnell Rogers scored on a 3-yard touchdown to make the score 21-6 in the third quarter.
Next, quarterback Colin Hurley would toss his second touchdown pass of the game, this one for 25-yards to Miles Burris as Trinity pulled away at this point 34-6. Trinity (2-0) would go on to win the game 41-28.
Trinity takes on NFEI (2-0) next week, while Raines travels to Sandalwood (1-1)
