Northeast Fl- Wee’ve updated the Football Madden Ratings for 2022. For the last three years, Duval Sports has released Madden Ratings for athletes in Northeast Florida and let’s just say it’s been interesting. It’s been a pretty fun story for the young athletes, being able to associate their favorite video game with their own personal athletic achievement. It’s all in fun, and all in the game as EA Sports says. So let’s break down the Madden Ratings, and look at what determines the overall ratings.

There are three main catagories that determine the overall Madden Ratings listed. Stats, Athleticism, and Opponents. Stats will be listed next to each player. Athleticism is based off what Duval Sports coorespondents have seen in person, or reviewed on Hudl. Opponents is based on strength of schedule and college offered players faced. The overall rating based on those three categories, is what’s shown in the skills bar.
Only the Top 25 players from each position will be listed. Players overall ratings must be graded at 80% or above to be listed. All stats are used from Maxpreps, the official stat provider for the FHSAA. If stats aren’t available, we reach out to each school for stats or simply factor in athleticism and strength of schedule. Finally, lets check out the Mid-Season Madden Rankings below.
In recent years there’s been 1 or 2 top rated wide receivers in Northeast Florida. This year is different howerver. Instead of 1 or 2 guys that are considered the undisputed best, there are at least 5 or 6 wide receivers that one could consider the best in Northeast Florida based on their play on the field.
Jaime Ffrench of Mandarin, Columbia’s Camdon Frier, Trinity Christian’s Miles Burris, Fletcher’s Anthony Vanglienti, Yulee’s Zach Drawdy, Episcopal’s Corey Scott, and Payton Dykas of Clay fall into the catagory as the best of the best. Scott, a Senior, led Northeast Florida in yards, and touchdowns in 2022.
Seniors that played at high levels are Kieren Jackson (Mandarin), Terrance Holland (Jackson), Taylor Bradshaw (Oakleaf), and Javarion Smith (Suwannee). They are leading their teams to successful seasons and a potential playoff appearance.

Young guns at the wide receiver position include Jenoa Alfrod (U.C), Naeem Burroghs (Bolles), Thomas Jackson (First Coast), and Kaleb Taylor-Burch (Christ’s Church). They led their teams in yards and touchdowns at wide receiver.
There are also big play receivers that have shown their ability to showcase their incredible skills on the field despite their team’s struggles on offense, or at quarterback. Maddox Spencer (Nease), and Emauri Hampton ( Englewood) had years like this. While receivers like Jayden Harris (Bishop Kenny), Tyrone Blunt (Zarephath), Carl Jenkins Jr ( St. Augustine) all won games for their teams, and all put up big numbers this year.
Wide receivers like Nolan Chambers ( Orange Park), Darion Dominick ( Fleming Island), Gabriel Garmon (Ed White), and Antwon McCrae ( Westside) are top prospects at the wide receiver position, however they haven’t accumilated enough games /stats to be evaluated with a Madden Rating.
