Orange Park Fl- It was named the district of death by many, as District 4S-3 housed the toughest opponents in all of North Florida. Buchholz (7-1), Creekside (7-2), and Fleming Island (4-4) all possessed winning records and impressive wins on the season. For Bartram Trail, they sat undefeated at 8-0, and undefeated in the district with only Oakleaf (4-5) standing in their way. Oakleaf had already played Creekside and Buchholz tough while upsetting Fleming Island earlier in the season. They looked to do the same to Bartram, but the Bears had other plans.
After a Taylor Bradshaw 38-yard touchdown catch put Oakleaf up 7-0 in the first quarter, Bartram would real off 21 unanswered points to go up 21-7. A 5-yard touchdown by Laython Biddle opened the scoring for Bartram. He followed that up with another touchdown run, his second of the half, giving the Bartram the lead. Next, Taylor Rhodes would be on the receiving end of a Riley Trujillo touchdown pass for the third unanswered score by Bartram.
Oakleaf, would recover briefly, when Drew Ammon tossed his second touchdown, this time to Carlos Witherup for a score to close the gap 21-14 in the seond quarter.
