Congratulations to St Johns Country Day’s Taliah Scott on being selected as a 2023 Mc Donald’s All-American. Scott becomes the fourth girls basketball player to earn the honor from Northeast Florida.
Rennia Davis (2017), Erica White (2004), Shante Stevens (2003) all from Ribault High School, have the distinction of being named to the All-American game.
Taliah Scott currently averages 37.3 points per game for St John’s Country Day. Leading Florida in the category, and second in the nation. She also was the leading scorer in Florida this past year. They got a huge boost from the junior transfer who is one of the best players in the nation. Scott averaged 32.3 ppg at one point, which was 8th in the nation. She also averaged 6.2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3.4 steals in 2021-2022.
A complete all around player, she attended the 2021 USA Women’s U16 National Team Trials and made the Duval Sports All Area Team.
In her sophomore year she led Oakleaf to it’s first Final 4 appearance in school history. She averaged 23.4 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.2 apg and 2.6 spg. She scored 20+ points 15 times on the season. Scored 30+ points six times. Just an incredibly dominant baller on the court.
She then transferred to St. John’s Country Day, and led the Spartans to the playoffs. Scott is an ESPN five-star prospect in the Class of 2023, and committed to Arkansas in September 2021.
