Biography

With over 100 tackles and 8.5 sacks, Carmello Murphy was regarded as one of the best middle linebackers in the city. A down-hill attacking presence in the middle, Murphy is a throw-back to old school linebackers that tackle anything that’s moving. Due to his lack of height, the Mandarin defensive signal caller was severely under-recruited. However, the football prodigy found a home at the next level to play college football at Clark Atlanta University. They got a football gem in Murphy who has played at a high level of football since his youth as one of the top players in the city. He continues those honors as a First Team Duval Sports Prime Time Player and 3-star athlete.
