Jacksonville Fl- I know it’s football season but thanks to Reps on Reps Hoops, we got an early glimpse at what we can look forward to this upcoming season. They held their Girls Middle School Combine at Christian Heritage Academy on August 12th. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the level of skill that these young ladies displayed. I’m going to highlight a few that stood out the most.

Gabby Mallory is one of the best 8th graders in Northeast Florida. Position-less player but is a self-proclaimed “Big Guard”. Long and athletic, gets to her spots with ease and can finish with either hand around the rim. Doesn’t shy away from contact and can defend multiple positions. She is a nightmare for opponents and if that doesn’t scare them, she has a twin sister Hannah Mallory.

Hannah got a later start playing basketball but has the potential to be just as good as her sister. Has a similar skill set but is more perimeter oriented. You can watch both Gabby and Hannah this upcoming season at Orange Park Middle School.

Kendall Proffitt was the tallest player out there but don’t be fooled by the height because she is a shooter. Whether it was a midrange shot or a three pointer, she was knocking them down from all over the court. Although, she prefers to shoot from the outside, she is not afraid to bang down low. You can watch her this upcoming season at St. John’s Country Day on the varsity team.

Maeghan Hicks put on a show at the combine. She was one of the best two-way players there showing that she takes after big sister Ansley Hicks because she plays both ends of the court. She let her defense fuel her offense as steals turned into easy baskets. Her midrange shot is almost automatic. What she lacks in size, she more than makes up for with heart and hustle. You can watch Meagan this upcoming season at Landon Middle School.
Listed below are other players that stood out at the combine:
Jocelyn Hoffmann, Landrum – 2028
Angelina Laudicina, Landrum – 2029
Reah Sanders, Hilliard – 2030
Raniah Small, Springfield – 2028
Judah Smith, San Jose Prep – 2029
