Northeast Fl- There was a major power shift on the quarterback club this week, as we see a new number one quarterback, atop the list. A new quarterback in the top 10 for the first time, and two new quarterbacks in the top 5 this week.
#1. Rodney Tisdale Jr, First Coast- 186 yards 3 TDs 0 Ints, 39yds rushing 1 TD vs Raines
With Tisdale’s performance against Raines, he has surmounted the Top QB list for the first time this year. Raines had only allowed one passer over 150 yards and tossing 3 TDs all year. Tisdale became the second. He’s been the most consistent quarterback all year.
#2. Glenn Foreman III, Riverside- 246yds, 2 TDs, vs Trinity
What a performance from Glenn Foreman III. He led a game winning drive against powerhouse Trinty as Riverside stunned the Conquerors last week. He’s gained confidence with every snap, and the team looks more confident with him.
#3. Locklan Hewlett, St. Augustine- 343yds ,3 TDS, vs Nease
Once again, St. Johns County was on lock, as Locklan Hewlett returned for St. Augustine after missing several games with an injury. The Wake Forest commit was perfect against the Panthers, passing for nearly 350 yards and 3 touchdowns.
#4. Ben Burke, Ponte Vedra- 172yds, 4 TDS vs Bishop Kenny
No other quarterback on the list tossed 4 touchdowns last week. Burk has done it twice this season. He doesn’t have many pass attempts, or passing yards, but he makes each pass count.
#5.Marcelis Tate, Fletcher, 249yds, 3 TDs, 1 Int vs Ed White
What a thrilling comeback led by Fletcher’s Marcelis Tate against Ed White. Down 19-6, Tate threw two touchdown passes in the final quarter to win the game.
#6. *Bryce Frick, Nease, 6’2, 180lbs, 311yds, 3 TDs, 1 Int vs St. Augustine
It’s time to finally welcome Bryce Frick to the Top 10! He’s been on the outside in previous weeks, but this week against a very good St. Augustine team, he tossed 3 touchdowns and passed for over 300 yards!
#7.Tramell Jones Jr, 238yds,3 TDs, 1 Int vs Westside
It was a good effecient day for Jones against a very weak Westside team. Mandarin used their other players to get the job done and didnt need much from their star QB.
#8.Cibastian Broughton, Fleming Island,187 yds 2 tds, 1 Int, 64 yards rushing vs Lake Minneola
Our #1 QB from last week fell this week after a tough outing against a very tough team from Central Florida. However, Broughton still tossed 2 touchdowns, cementing his Top 10 status.
#9. Jordan Durham, Zarephath Academy,385 yards 2 TDS, 1 Int, 21 yards rushing 1 TD vs Zephryhills
Moving up the list is Jordan Durham who has been on a complete tear lately. In a close loss to Zephryhills, Durham almost passed for 400 yards!
#10. Jaylen Pettway, 153yds, 2 TDs vs Fletcher
Jaylen Pettway did enough for his team to win against Fletcher. He also did enough to be on the Top 10 this week. Two touchdowns, no interceptions and a 19-6 lead for his team in the fourth quarter. Not much else the young man can do at the position to win.
