Northeast Fl- Our week 9 quarterback club looks alot different than previous weeks. Even last week’s top performers had to concede their seats at the top to some frickin awesome performances from quarterbacks. Check out the passer list below.
* Denotes a new QB on the list
#1. Jordan Durham, Zarephath Academy– 444yds passing 4 TDs, 1 Int vs Lake Weir
We have a new number one Quarterback this week. Jordan Durham of Zarephath has passed for 1,442 yards, 13 TDs and 3 Ints, in just 4 games. He’s been on a passing parade the last few weeks, going for 525yds and 5 TDs versus West Oaks Academy, and 385yds and 3 TDs versus Zephryhills in back to back weeks. For his week 8 performance against Lake Weir, Durham hit 444 yards and 4 TDs!
#2. Bryce Frick, Nease– 278yds passing 5 TDs vs Flagler Palm Coast, 39yds rushing 1 TD
Bryce Frick is playing some fricking awesome football of late. He went toe to toe with Locklan Hewlett and undefeated St. Augustine two weeks ago. Against Flagler Palm Coast last week, he was responsible for 6 total touchdowns. It should be no surpise that the Nease quarterback is performing at a high level, his head coach was a quarterback at the next level himself.
#3. Ben Burk, Ponte Vedra– 212yds 3 TDS vs Tocoi Creek
Another Ponte Vedra win and another good solid outing for quarterback Ben Burk. Burk has passed for 7 touchdowns the last 2 games, including 3 versus Tocoi Creek last week.
#4. Marcelis Tate, Fletcher, 331yds passing 4 TDs, 2 Ints, 58yds Rushing 2 TDs
Tate once again took over the game for Fletcher on the ground and through the air. He accounted for 6 total touchdowns against Englewood in an impressive win and performance.
#5. Ty’re Randolph,Raines- 126yds passing 2 TDs, 46yds rushing 2 TDs
Ty’ren Randolph completely showed out for the Northwest Classic, living the dream for any quarterback of Raines or Ribault. Ty torched Bault for 4 total touchdowns, both on the ground and through the air. He entered history, and for that it’s his highest ranking on the list this year.
#6. * Dae’jon Shanks, 5’11, 180lbs, Bradford- 147yds passing 1 TD, 106yds rushing, 2 TDs vs True North Classical Academy (Miami)
It is time to put the quarterback of the undefeated Bradford Tornadoes on this list. Although Dae’jon Shanks is being recruited as an athlete by D-1 programs, the amazing athlete has been called upon to be the singal caller for the Tornadoes. Against previously undefeated True North Classical Academy, Shanks who wears number six went for “6” three times, leading Bradford to victory in Miami.
#7.Tramell Jones Jr, Mandarin, 171yds passing 2 TDs vs Fleming Island
Jones has been number 1 on the list previously, so his ranking the last few weeks isn’t phasing the Florida State commit. He hasn’t been asked to do much the last two weeks in games that Mandarin’s won easily. Even still, he’s guided his team to easy victories.
#8. Rodney Tisdale Jr, First Coast- 117yds passing, 1 TD, 22yds rushing 1 TD vs Parker
After reaching the number one spot last week, Tisdale falls this week, but only because he wasn’t asked to do alot against outmatched Parker. He still displayed his dual threat ability, scoring touchdowns both on the ground and through the air in a route.
#9. Glenn Foreman III, Riverside, 153yds passing, 2 TDs vs Jackson
Glenn Foreman III had an efficient day at the office against Jackson. Riverside ran away with the game, and pulled Foreman early. He only fell from number 2 last week due to this fact. In short work, he tossed two touchdowns. But more importantly Riverside is rolling.
#10. * Timothy Cole, Ribault, 5’10, 170lbs- 206yds passing 3 TDs, 1 Int, 77yds rushing vs Raines
Timothy Cole cracks the top 10 for the first time this year. He had a good showing at the Northwest Classic for Ribault even in the loss, tossing three touchdowns to three different receivers. Cole has passed for 1006 yards 10 TDs, 2 Ints. He’s also rushed for 2 TDs on the season.
Jaden Weatherly, Bartram Trail– 178yds, 2 TDS vs Creekside
Cibastian Broughton, Fleming Island- 79yds passing 1 TD, 164yds rushing 1 TD vs Mandarin
DJ Moore, Bolles- 115yds, 1 TD vs Wolfson
Locklan Hewlett, St. Augustine-BYE
Jaylen Pettway, Ed White- BYE
