The quarterback club list this week factor in only the results after week 9. With the short week leading up to week 10, many of these playmakers had to turn around quickly for their teams. Also, lots of stats weren’t entered for players. So this list is based up until Friday October, 20th results only. Check out the top quarterbacks in Northeast Florida through week 9.

1. Cibastian Broughton- Fleming Island, 221 yds passing 5 TDs, 0 INTs, 156yds rushing 2 TDs vs Creekside
Broughton had a career night against Creekside tallying 7 touchdowns. He proved that at least after week 9 that he is the best quarterback in Northeast Florida. He earned Duval Sports Player of the Week.
2. Tramell Jones Jr-Mandarin, Bye
Tramell Jones Jr is the 18th passer in the state of Florida after 9 games, with 1,983 yards and 22 TDs. He’s showing everyone what Florida State has to look forward to in years to come, with his ability to spin it unlike anyone else.
3. Rodney Tisdale Jr– First Coast, Bye
With 1,842 passing yards, 23 TDs and 6 INTs, Tisdale has been atop the conversation for most prolific drop back passer in the state. He currently sits 23rd in total yards after 8 games.
4. Locklan Hewlett- St. Augustine, 119yds passing 1 TD, 0 INT vs Gainesville
One of the top passers in the state made short work in week 9 against Gainesville as St. Augustine blew out their opponent 56-0. He’s averaged an area high 301 passing yards per game, and that’s with missing 3 games. His team is undefeated.
5. DJ Moore- Bolles, Bye
DJ Moore had a bye in week 9, but he is still a top passer in Northeast Florida and the state. He’s passed for 1,514 yards, 19 TDs, and 4 INTs in 9 games. That’s 63rd in the entire state, and 4th in Northeast Florida.
6. Marcelis Tate- Fletcher, Bye
The spectacular play-maker for Fletcher had a bye in week 9. But even with an injury earlier in the season, Tate still is one of the leaders in passing in the state. He’s passed for 1,290 yards, 16 TDS, and 5 Ints in just 7 games. His incredible ability to avoid sacks and pressure separates him from many others.
7. Bryce Frick- Nease, Bye
Possibly the hottest quarterback in the area right now is Bryce Frick. He had a bye in week 9, but the quarterback has still put up some great numbers passing for 1,169 yards, 14 TDs, 2 Ints in just 6 games played. He’s also run for 208 yards and 2 scores with a very hard schedule.
8. Edward Jordan-Beachside, 319 yards, 4 TDS, 1 INT vs Crescent City
Edward Jordan rebounded after a few weeks of lower numbers with a very strong showing against Crescent City. He’s passed for 2,115 yards, 25 TDs, 8 Ints on the season. That is 14th in the state, and tops in Northeast Florida this year.
9. Riley Trujillo- Bartram, 115yds passing, 1 TD, 1INT vs Buchholz
Against a very tough Buchholz team, Trujillo managed to break even in the stat category, even though the game was a blowout loss. The UCF commit has still shown that he is an elite athlete in just 6 games, passing for 1054 yards, 8 TDs and 4 Ints. Trujillo also has over 330 yards rushing and 2 TDs on the ground.
10. *Nikao Smith-Yulee, 2024, 6’2, 203lbs QB; 211 yds passing, 4 TDs, 0 INTs vs Episcopal
Cracking the Top 10 for the first time is Yulee’s Nikao Smith. He had a 4 TD performance against Episcopal that catapulted him onto the top 10 after near misses all year. He currently sits 67th in the state in passing yards with 1,497yds. He’s passed for15 TDs, and 9 Ints.
