The new “main man” on Main street is Bobby Ramsay. A high school state championship head coach that knows what the program can become and what the players can achieve. With Ramsay, Jackson has a structured and experienced coaching staff and schedule, the first ingredient to making a good sauce.
Having coached some of the best players Northeast Florida has ever seen, Ramsay knows what good sauce looks like. Great athletes like Demario Douglas (New England Patriots), Carson Beck (Georgia) and of course Derrick Henry (Baltimore Ravens) are some of the great athletes Ramsay has coached. His current players have some sauce to them as well, with college level size on the offensive and defensive lines. Development is key however, and he and his staff were all about teaching technique and assignment early at spring practice.

*Tay’vion Lawson – 2025 DB/WR – A 6’2 long ATH who was second in TD receptions last year. Talented basketball player who led team in scoring in Final 4! Coach Ramsay feels his sheer athleticism creates unlimited potential!
Sylvester Miller- WR 2026, 5’10, 170lbs- Miller gained lots of experience playing in 12 games as a sophomore last year. He flashes in practice, making “wow plays” that leave you wondering just how good this young man can be.

Putting alot of work into him in practice knowing that he has the ability to be a game-changing unlockable Edge rusher. Anthony Jones-DB 2026, 5’9, 175lbs Coaches have noticed his impressive athleticism that stands out from the rest. A confident, and intelligent football player, Jones looks like a leader on the field.
Alton Drinks- WR 2027, 5’10- Freshman with natural agility and ball skills. A young prospect that looks promising. A skill player that can make a big impact.
Kennedy Bussey, TE/ DE 2025, 6’4, 200lbs An athlete with great size to set the edge for both offensive and defensive lines. Actually think his size lends him more toward an outside linebacker position in college. Tremendous upside for this rising multi-sport senior, who also plays baseball.
Key Needs: Linebacker
Jackson has large linemen, smaller skill players, but need the intermediate size athletes that typically make up linebackers. Developing one in house, or getting one as a transfer would help the defensive side of the ball greatly. A LB transfer with size who is buried on a depth chart somewhere else may want to consider Jackson. Their defensive line is a linebacker’s dream.
Spring Outlook:
Teaching a new system, creating a new culture, and building a foundation takes time. But Jackson is off to a fast start, implementing new weight room regimens, and being active in the community. Whether it’s updating roster information and schedules on Maxpreps, or visibility and a strong social media presence, these are all things that showcase a positive change for the program.
On the field, it’s all about development and exposure. Getting better every day, and getting noticed by colleges. The opportunity for college for the athletes in this area of town can change the lives of young black men permanently. That’s the ultimate goal, a free college education, and the opportunity to better your life and your family’s lives. It’s great that Jackson has a head coach that’s put so many kids in college already, and knows what it takes to get kids there.
