- Nease (5-0)– The Panthers are undefeated, and ahead they have very winnable games, including a down Bartram Trail team. Their toughest test might be Beachside, but the way Nease is playing they should win every game going away. It’s amazing to think that this team could end the regular season undefeated.

2. Bradford (6-0)
Bradford has had five straight homes games, with tough tests in Dunnellon and Mandarin. However, their toughest test of the year may be this week, a road game against Newberry (4-2). The Tornadoes know how to win on the road as they got a win versus Baker County in week 1. They’ll need to buckle down though, because they have four straight on the road to end the season.

3. Raines (6-0)
The Vikings handled business on homecoming for the Northwest Classic against Ribault. The Trojans are down this year, and Raines is way up. Now they take their show on the road outside Jacksonville for the first time this year against Madison County. That matchup will mean a lot for a team that has to learn how to win outside of Duval County which is down this year. Creekside will be a good measure of that ability as well.

4. Mandarin (5-2)
Mandarin defeated First Coast 27-6 Monday night. Deion Winstead rushed for 123 yards and Brysen Wright caught a touchdown. Yet, the defense won the night as Kam Mills had 2 sacks and Drake Stubbs and Kevean Herring had interceptions in the game. Oakleaf and St. Augustine are two tough remaining games for the Mustangs that will cap a brutal schedule and regular season. The toughest overall in Northeast Florida.

5. Bolles (6-1)
Bolles defeated Andrew Jackson 26-0 to remain undefeated in district play. They’ve defeated Baldwin, Jackson, and will defeat Wolfson. Riverside is their only semi-test on the schedule, yet it’s clear sky’s ahead for the Bulldogs. Where they could run the table the rest of the way with wins.

6. St. Augustine (4-1)
It’s been a very successful season for the Jackets this year. They have shown that they can score with the best of them in shootouts with Riverside, and Nease. The rest of the way they will more than likely have shootouts with rival Bartram Trail and Mandarin. Yet it is unclear sailing for them as the Mustang’s defense might pose problems ahead for them.

7. Oakleaf (4-2)
Oakleaf has a very interesting schedule remaining. After tangling with Hawthorne and Bolles, the Knights dismantled Riverside, Fletcher and squeaked by Fleming Island. So it would seem as if the Knights have the advantage against Ed White, and Tocoi Creek. Their game against Mandarin will be another measuring stick, to see if they can win against a Top 5 team.

8. Riverside (4-3)
Riverside got a big win on the road against Trinity last week. The team once again defeated the Conquerors on a last minute drive where Tae’Shaun Gelsey saved the day. Gelsey picked up a Florida State offer this week even though he is committed to Florida. Both could use him. Bolles is ahead for Riverside along with rival Ed White. Two games that will prove if the Generals have turned a corner.

9. Beachside (5-1)
The Barracudas got a big win over Tocoi Creek last week, who was playing with a lot of momentum. Edward Jordan has passed for 1,534 yards, and 13 TDs on the season. His top weapon has been Drew Watson who has 604 yards receiving and 8 TDs. Although they lost to Ponte Vedra, if they can defeat Fleming Island, it will prove to be a major step forward for the program. Undefeated Middleburg and Nease remain one of the toughest remaining schedules in Northeast Florida.

10. Creekside (3-3)
The hottest team in Northeast Florida is Creekside. They have won 3 straight after starting 0-3. Their 20 point comeback on the road against Fleming Island was one for the record books. They get an easier opponent in Atlantic Coast before taking on state power Raines at home. Ponte Vedra will also be an interesting game as both teams have a history of wild games including the playoffs last year.
