#1. Fort Caroline (Duval County Middle School Champions)
Fort Caroline not only brought home it’s first Duval County Middle School Football Championship in school history, but it was the first football championship for the East division since 2015(Fletcher Middle). The Cavaliers defeated defending champion Springfield 20-12 to cap an undefeated season and the title. They defeated powerful teams like YMLA, Lake Shore, and Fletcher on their way to an impressive victory to dethrone the defending champions. They arguably have two of the best players in Jacksonville.
#2. Baker County (NEFAC Champions)
They haven’t lost a game since 2020, and they won their 5th consecutive NEFAC middle school football championship in 2024. Baker County Middle School defeated Oakleaf Junior High 42-6 to complete the perfect season again. Baker County defeated teams like Lakeside, and Green Cove Springs this year. The Bobcats had possibly the best front 7 in Northeast Florida have about 5-9 players that started, and will be returning.
#3. Lake City (SMAC Champions)
The Lake City Falcons were crowed champions of the SMAC. The Falcons defeated Suwanee 49-0, Lake Butler 22-0, and PK Yonge 46-0 in the regular season. In the playoffs, they defeated Palatka 39-12, before fittingly shutting out Williston Middle 14-0 in the championship game. The team boasted some of the most gifted athletes in North Florida.
#4. Landrum Middle (SJMSAA)
The Landrum Lions won the 2024 SJMSAA Football championship, defeating Swiss Point 21-8. For Landrum, it was their third football championship in the modern playoff system of the SJMSAA. Landrum battled adversity all year going 4-3 on the season. Wins against Gamble Rogers 20-14, and a tie with Murray. Their long athletic playmakers took advantage of opponents with their size.
