
Lakeland Fl- Clay High’s Emma Heck is no stranger to winning medals. A 3X State Champion in girls weightlifting (Olympic & Traditional). Emma also made history by setting a new state record in the clean and jerk with an impressive lift of 215 pounds in 2024.
Yet in 2025, she decided to break another record becoming a 4-time state champ. Heck broke the state record in the 139 pound weight class with an incredible 185 pound snatch. She placed first in the 139 class with a total of 410 in Olympic style. She also placed first in 139 class in Traditional style with 405.

Bays Elle (Menendez) totaled 415 in the 169 class
Bradi Johnson (Fleming Island) 119 class, total 315
In 2022, Emma Heck placed first in 129 class with a total of 370. That year her teammate Janiyah Stevens placed first as well in the 154 class with a total of 370. Both would help lead Clay to a Girls weightlifting state title that year.
She is the record holder in Snatch and Clean & Jerk her Freshman through Junior years, then bumped up in weight class as a senior setting a new state record in the Snatch.
