High School: Middleburg
College: Point University
This class of 2024 recruit is worth keeping a serious eye on at the next level in college. He started on the varsity football team at Fleming Island his freshman year, earning playing time because of his work ethic and size. Since then, he’s grown heavier weighing 280lbs, and taller standing at 6 foot 2 inches. With good size that is trending up every year, Isbell will likely increase his massive frame in college. This complimented by his workout warrior attitude in the weight room.
Earned 1st place Olympic Heavyweight and 2nd place Traditional Heavyweight with a Clean and Jerk 315lbs and Bench 385lbs. Currently Isbell benches 450lbs, squats 635lbs and Cleans and jerk 350lbs.
He is a versatile athlete, playing offensive line his first two years, transitioned to the defensive line for a year at Fleming Island, and fortified the middle of Middleburg’s offensive line. Isbell is a powerful blocker to the whistle, with many blocks resulting into pancakes. He uses his feet well to engage defenders and open holes for ball carriers.
He had a break-out senior season, picking up his first collegiate offer. He would finish making the Clay County All-Area Team. Isbell signed with Point University.
