Kennedy Waymer

Pound -for-Pound, Paxon’s Kennedy Waymer might be the most gifted all around athlete Northeast Florida has ever seen. At just 5 feet 2 inches tall, Waymer plays basketball, softball, is an explosive flag football player, and led the volleyball team in assists her junior year. Her impressive resume includes, being named offensive MVP in softball. She’s been named to the Gateway All-Conference team three consecutive years in both softball, and basketball (2022, 2023, 2024). She also made the Duval Sports All-Area Girl’s Basketball Team.

In basketball, Waymer was a lightning quick point guard averaging 12.1ppg (2nd on the team),2.5 apg (2nd on team), and 1.1 spg (2nd on team). For her career she averaged 12.3 ppg and 2.8 apg. In softball, Waymer is the quintessential slapper, with the ability to use her incredible speed to reach and steal bases. She tallied 19 hits and 19 runs in 2023-2024. Her 2022-2023 season saw her achieve career highs with a .435 batting average and .500 on base percentage. For her career she has a .350 battling average and a .438 on base percentage.

Waymer committed to Coastal Georgia and signed her letter of intent to play women’s softball. Though she chose softball, Waymer proved to everyone, there isn’t anything she can’t do.
