Amare Ferrell was one of the top defensive backs in the state of Florida. Playing for head coach Demetric Jackson and Coach Brian Allen at Columbia High School. He notched 99 tackles and nabbed 5 interceptions in a spectacular senior season. Ferrell’s long frame allowed him the ability to shut down taller receivers, and be physical at the line. He also posseses quick hips for his size, by changing direction to stay with smaller receivers. Tabbed a four-star recruit by Rivals, and rated the No. 35 defensive back prospect nationally by Rivals, he earned All-First Coast honors. Duval Sports ranks him as a 5-star recruit, a distinction granted to only a few as a Duval Sports First Team Prime Time Player!
Ferrell signed with Indiana in 2023 and appeared in all 12 games making his collegiate debut against Ohio State as a true freshman.
