Biography

Dae’Jon “6ixX” Shanks has the coolest name in the game, and the coolest game in Northeast Florida. Shanks is a versatile athlete, able to play multiple positions on the field. He’s also a leader, and has an exceptional mind for the game. This is why coaches chose him to lead the offense at quarterback, as Shanks was able to run the offense and be a dangerous threat through the air and on the ground.

Shanks passed for 1,360 yards, 18 TDs and just 2 INTs. He combined that with 1,104 rushing yards and 14 TDs. He accounted for 32 total touchdowns on offense, and that doesn’t include 2-point conversions. One of the most dramatic 2-point conversions in 2023 involved Shanks. Trailing Pensacola Catholic 21 to 20 in overtime, and with one untimed down left, Shanks powered his way through a goal-line tackle just inches over the goal line for the win. The win sent Bradford to the State Championship game, where the team would finish as State Runners-Up.
