Grayson ” Pup” Howard is listed at 6 foot 3, but honestly he is probably closer to 6 foot 4 inches tall. He’s the biggest and leanest linebacker this area has seen in quite some time. Other top players in the area marvel at his size, and Howard has the athletic prowess to match. 118 tackles, 4 pass breakups and an INT in 2020, he topped that with 157 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions in 2021. He also scored on the ground once on offense. His camp play over the summer his sophomore year saw his stock rise exponentially going into his junior year, with every major university in the country are after his services. He did not disappoint them.
Rated the #1 Duval Sports Linebacker heading into 2022 season, Grayson was a Florida Times Union Super 11 selection, a 2-time Action News Jax Jaguars Prep Team selection. He tallied an area best 188 tackles, 18 TFL, and 5 sacks.
Howard signed to the University of South Carolina. There he appeared in 11 games… Finished with 19 tackles (10 solo), a tackle-for-loss and a forced fumble.
