Biography

The other side of the best secondary in the state of Florida was held down by Mandarin’s senior Jon Mitchell. Mitchell left it all on the field in 2023. A career high in tackles (71), career high in interceptions (4), career high in forced fumbles (4), and career high in pass deflections 15. His numbers quadrupled across the board from his junior season to his senior season, as he fulfilled a goal set to take his game even higher. As one of the highest recruited defensive backs to come out of Northeast Florida, the 4-star corner made his decision early to attend Penn State. He rides a wave of on field success into college, after helping lead his team to the state championship game.
