Biography

Mandarin starting running back Tiant Wyche was undoubtably the unheralded hero for the Mandarin football team in 2023. The talented running back was not the first player many outside people thought about when thinking of Mandarin. But inside the locker room, and opponents who turned on the game film knew he was quite possibly their most dangerous weapon on the field.

Wyche rushed for 1,812 yards and 26 touchdowns, helping lead the Mustangs to the state championship game. Games included a 185 yard, 4 TD effort against Fleming Island. A 157 yard, 2 TD performance against Lake Mary, and two 151 yard, 3 TD performances against Fletcher in game 1 of the season, and Monarch in the playoffs. It was a season of consistency for Wyche who was named Jaguars player of the year, and first team Duval Sports Prime Time Player.

Wyche will continue his football career collegiately at Albany St University.
